Argus Car Hire Dublin Pub Guide
The penalties for drinking and driving in Ireland are severe and Argus
obviously do not recommend you drink and drive, however, when you're on
foot in
Dublin you cannot really pass up the opportunity to have a drink
or two in one of the many famous Dublin pubs. What better way to experience
the Irish culture than to visit the local Dublin pub. Pubs in Ireland
are not just places to drink, they are theatres for storytelling, backdrops
for romance, homes away from home and keepers of the spirit of the city.
Abbey Tavern
Abbey Tavern is full of old-world charm, authenticity and simplicity.
You will find warming fires, original stone walls, flagged floors, and
gas lights. The Bar is also open during the day serving light pub lunches.

The Stag's Head
The Stag's Head dates back to 1770, and was rebuilt in
1894-95. It was the first pub in Dublin to be lit by electricity. Magnificent
stained glass depicts the Stags Head theme throughout eight windows. The
bar still has the old barrels in which Jamesonns ten-year-old liqueur
whiskey was distributed in the last century.
